Document Description
The Sunroad Centrum project is a subdivision of 250.5 acres into 96 industrial / commercial lots, plus one remainder lot subject to special use regulations under the East Otay Mesa (EOM) Specific Plan. The Otay Water District will provide imported water for the development. The East Otay Mesa Sewer Maintenance District will provide sewer services. The Rural Fire Protection District will provide fire protection and emergency services to 210.5 acres of the total. The remaining 40 acres (in Unit 4) will be conditioned to provide evidence of adequate fire protection and emergency medical services. Access will be as proposed in the EOM Specific Plan. However, off-site improvements to Otay Mesa Road in the City of San Diego will be required as traffic mitigation. In accordance with CEQA, a change in circumstances has arisen since the certification of Specific Plan Environmental Impact Report. The project may result in impacts to endangered San Diego fairy shrimp, which were not discussed in the previous document.
