Document Description
This is an application for a conditional use permit in the R-1 and C-3 Zones to allow a one and three-story senior living facility for the elderly on property containing 5.50 acres and located on the south side of Scenic Drive east of Coffee Road. This site will have a 389-foot frontage on Scenic Drive and approximately a 1044 foot frontage along Dry Creek. The surrounding uses include: the Scenic Nursery, an apartment complex and single-family houses to the north, C-2 commercial uses to the west, and single-family residential uses to the east, and Dry Creek to the south. The proposed senior living facility will include such amenities as central areas for dining rooms, a library, and a lounge. Typical services available to the residents will include 24-hour assistance in personal daily routines and medical care. Daily activities will be scheduled and transportation to and from medical appointments will be provided. As noted, this will be maximum three-story facility with the structures centrally clustered around a large court yard/activity area at the north elevation of the building. The applicant proposes to accomplish the project in two phases. Phase one will be located at the west end of the property adjacent to the Scenic Drive frontage, this initial phase will provide 75 units. These units will reflect the intitial phase in terms of design and level of services provided.
