Document Description
This is an application to rezone property containing 2.83 acres located on the west side of Tully road South of West Union Avenue from R-3 to P-D as an addition to P-D(527). The existing P-D (527) was approved in 1998 for the mini-warehouse facility located immediately north and contiguous to this proposal. The expansion of this self-storange development will extend south 276- feet along the Tully Road frontage and have a depth also equal to the existing storage facility. The zoning and land uses immediately surrounding the proposed expansion include: P-D with the existing storage facility to the north, R-3 zone to the west developed with a mobile home park, P-O and C-2 zones to the south developed with office and commercial uses, and R-2 and P-D zoning with multi-family uses to the east across Tully Road. The applicant's plot plan indicates that the proposed expansion will allow five separate one-story storage buildings which will have overall heights of approximately ten feet. The structures provide a total of 65,400 square feet of additional floor area for this complex. Fencing for the complex will include: an eight foot masonry wall separating the development from the mobile home park along the west property line, an eight foot high wrought iron fence set back ten feet from the Tully road eventual right-of-way line, and a chain link fence with slat inserts along the south property line abutting commercial uses.
