Document Description
This is an application for an amendment to a conditional use permit in the R-1 Zone to allow expansion of an existing charter school to include: new class rooms, a play area, parking area, and accessory structures. The existing school campus is sited on two contiguous parcels located on the west side of Coffee Road south of Princewood Lane. Each of the parcels contains approximately 0.94 of an acre. The proposed expansion will occur on a portion of the northern of these two parcels. Two modular classrooms have already been approved on the northern parcel. The applicant's plot plan proposes that these modular structures will be relocated on the same parcel and that three new modular units will be added to provide five classroom structures. Expansion of the facility will also include additional school yard areas central to the site between the classrooms and on the rear or west portion of the property. The front parking area adjacent to Coffee Road will also be expanded approximately 75 feet north onto the northern parcel proviously noted. Development of the additional parking area will not include additional driveway access to Coffee Road. The applicant's plot plan also indicates that this latest expansion program will not incorporate use of an existing house located along the Coffee Road frontage at the northeast corner of the northern parcel. This residence and adjacent yards will be fenced off from the school campus in an area containing approximately 6,800 square feet.
