Document Description
The school is a needed facility to help accommodate educational needs of the rapidly growing population in the Lancaster area. The school, located southwest of East Avenue J-8 and 35th Street East, will serve students in the 9th through 12th grades. At buildout, the campus will accomodate approximately 2,000 students and 100 staff. The conceptual campus site plan locates classrooms and administrative buildings on the northeast end of the site. Buildings will range from one to two stories in height. Four parking lots on the site will provide parking for students, faculty, and visitors. Along the southern portion of the site, will be sports fields and facilities, that could include three baseball diamonds, two soccer fields, a varsity football field, a jr. varsity football field, basketball courts, and tennis courts. Three pedestrian bridges cross the flood control channel. The northwest and southwest portions of the site are anticipated to remain vacant. The school will operate on a typical schedule from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
