Document Description
Alter the streambed in order to construct the Spectrum 6 project, permanently impacting 0.8 acre of stream in Marshburn Channel. This includes the following activies: installation of 700-feet of armorflex channel between Irvine Center Drive and the proposed extension of Waterworks Road, construction of an approximate 1,600 linear feet of a 9x12 foot concrete box culvert from Waterworks to Barranca Parkway, construction of a 130-foot concrete drop structure upstream of Waterworks and a 100-foot concrete lined channel between Irvine Center Drive and the I-5 freeway with a larger concrete lined channel. As mitigation for the impacts, the Operator is creating 1.6 acres of riparian willow scrub habitat off-site within the Spectrum 5 Natural River Management Area adjacent to the existing riparian habitat of the San Diego Creek. The project is located in the vicinity of Irvine Center Drive and Barranca Parkway in Orange County.
