Document Description
The proposed Soledad Canyon Sand and Gravel Mining project will be on a site of approximately 500 acres. The project will consist of mining a total of 69 million tons of material to produce and sell approximately 56.1 million tons of sand and gravel over a 20-year period. In addition, the project will operate a concrete batch plant to produce and deliver ready-mixed concrete to the local market. The surface mining operations will be conducted within a 460-acre area (Area A) and the project processing facilities will be located primarily within a 40-acre site (Area B). All proposed mining and processing operations will be located north of Soledad Canyon Road and the Santa Clara River. The project will include a reclamation plan for both concurrent reclamation processes and for final reclamation to return the land to a beneficial end use.
