PROJECT PROPOSES TO ESTABLISH A ROCK QUARRY AND PROCESSING PLANTS FOR CONCRETE AND ASPHALT, THEREBY IMPACTING APPROX. 36 ACRES OF THE 91 ACRE SITE. THE OPERATION WOULD EXCAVATE APPROXIMATELY 22 MILLION TONS OF ROCK OVER A 20 YEAR PERIOD. IN ADDITION, REALIGNMENT OF SR-76 (PALA ROAD) IS PROPOSED WITHIN THE SAN LUIS REY RIVER FLOODPLAIN FOR APPROXOMATELY 4500 LINEAR FEET. THE PROJECT SITE IS LOCATED ON THE NORTH SIDE OF SR-76 APPROXIMATELY 1.25 MILES EAST OF INTERSTATE 15
