Document Description
The CA Dept. of Fish and Game is executing Lake or Streambed Alteration Agreement No. 1600-2008-0257-R2, pursuant to Sec. 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project applicant, City of Chico - Capital Project Services Dept.
The proposed path would extend from an existing bicycle path into the Caltrans right-of-way, over Little Chico Creek, and continue south into E. 20th St. Community Park. No construction activities would occur within the streambed or channel of Little Chico Creek. The existing bike path that parallels the creek would serve as a buffer between proposed project improvements north of the creek and the streambed. The proposed clear-span bridge would extend 130 ft. between two abutments placed on the north and south sides of the creek, outside of the ordinary high watermark and stream channel. Installation of the clear-span bridge would require trimming of vegetation within the creek channel for safety and clearance; however, this vegetation would not be removed.
