TWO 3 MILLION GALLON WATER STORAGE TANKS AND A PUMP STATION ARE PROPOSED FOR XONSTRUCTION IN ORDER TO PROVIDE AN ADEQUATE WATER SUPPLY FOR THE RAPIDLY GROWING EASTERN HIGHLANDS AREA. THE TANKS WILL BE CONSTRUCTED PARTIALLY BELOW GROUND. A NOISE ANALYSIS AND MITIGATION ASSURES THAT THE WATER PUMPS WOULD NOT IMPORT A FUTURE, NEARBY RESIDENTIL AREA. TWO MILES OF 20-INCH TRANSMISSION MAIN WILL BE CONSTRUCTED IN AN EXISTING ROAD. A STREAM ALTERATION PERMIT IS BEING APPLIED FOR THROOUGH CALIFORNIA FISH AND GAME.
