THE PROPOSED PROJECT IS THE UPGRADING OF A 3.1 MILE SEGMENT OF ROUTE 87 IN SAN JOSE TO A FREEWAY. THIS SEGMENT OF ROUTE 87, KNOWN AS THE GUADALUPE PARKWAY IS PRESENTLY A 4 LANE FACILITY EXTENDING FROM U.S. 101 IN THE NORTH TO JULIAN STN. IN THE SOUTH. THE PROJECT PROPOSES TO WIDEN THIS SEGMENT.
