THE PROPOSED PROJECT INVOLVES SITE GRADING AND SURCHARGING PORTIONS OF THE 40 ACRE BAY MEADOWS PRACTICE TRACT. AN ESTIMATED 260,000 CUBIC YARDS OF MATERIAL WILL BE IMPORTED. COMPACTED AND ROUGH GRADED TO RAISE THE ELEVATION OF THE SITE 3 TO 4 FEET. TO ALLOW COMPRESSION OF UNCONSOLIDATED BAY MUD MATERIALS PRIOR TO START OF CONSTRUCTION, A TEMPOR- ARY SURCHARGE OF APPROX. 3 FEET OF SOIL WILL BE IN PLACE FOR 6 TO 9 MONTHS. THIS SURCHARGE WILL TEMPORARILY RESULT IN A TOTAL ELEVATION INCREASE OF 6-7 FEET ABOVE EXISTING GRADE ELEVATIONS.
