Document Description
The proposed project would construct recreational facilities and a detention basin at Hiram Lewis Park, along the eastern bank of Windsor Creek. The project would be a dual-use facility designed to allow recreational use of the play fields during most of the year. During severe storm events, a portion of the flows in Windsor Creek would be directed into the detention basin, and water would remain in the detention basin until water levels in the creek recede. An inlet / outlet structure would be constructed at Windsor Creek in the northwest corner of the project site to receive flood waters from the creek. The proposed project also includes changes and additions to the Hiram Lewis Park Master Plan that was approved in 1996.
