THE PROPOSED PROJECT CONSISTS OF REPLACING APPROXIMATELY SEVEN MILES OF AN EXISTING EARTH CANAL WITH A CONCRETE LINED CANAL AND SECTIONS OF PIPELINE ALONG THE SAME ALIGNMENT. THE PURPOSE OF THE CONSTRUCTION IS TO LIMIT THE AMOUNT SURFACE WATER THAT IS LOST TO THE HIGHLY SALINE WATER ENCOUNTERED IN THE RAISIN CITY OIL FIELD AREA.
