THE ACQUISITION AND DEVELOPMENT OF AN APPROXIMATELY 16-ACRE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL SITE. THE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL WOULD BE DESIGNED TO ACCOMMODATE 735 STUDENTS AND WILL HAVE A FULL RANGE OF EDUCATIONAL FACILITIES AND SERVICES FOR GRADES K THROUGH 6 AND MAY INCLUDE LIGHTED PLAYGROUND FACILITIES. THE SCHOOL MAY BE OPERATED ON A YEAR ROUND BASIS. CONSTRUCTION OF THE SCHOOL IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN IN 1993 WITH OCCUPANCY OCCURRING IN 12 TO 15 MONTHS. THE PROJECT INCLUDES THE ANNEXATION OF THE SITE TO THE CITY OF FRESNO.
