THE PROJECT UNDER REVIEW IS THE RIVERSIDE COUNTY AIR QUALITY ELEMENT PREPARED IN AUGUST, 1990. THE PURPOSE OF THE ELEMENT IS TO IDENTIFY GOALS, OBJECTIVES AND POLICIES THAT WILL REDUCE AIR POLLUTION AND HELP ATTAIN THE NATIONAL AMBIENT AIR QUALITY STANDARDS. THESE POLICIES ARE INTENDED TO RELIEVE CONGESTION, IMPROVE MOBILITY, MANAGE GROWTH, CREATE A BETTER MIX OF JOBS AND HOUSING, AND CONSERVE ENERGY. THESE POLICIES WOULD APPLY THROUGHOUT RIVERSIDE COUNTY.
