THE PROJECT IS THE CONSTRUCTION OF A 24.5 FT. WIDE BY 8 FT. DEEP REINFORCED CONCRETE CHANNEL TO REPLACE AN EXISTING 29 FT. WIDE BY 7 FT. DEEP RAIL AND WIRE REVETMENT CHANNEL. CONSTRUCTION WILL EXTEND APPROXIMATELY 1400 FT. BEGINNING AT A CONCRETE CULVERT AT INTERSTATE 10 AND CONTINUE NORTH TO CONNECT WITH A CONCRETE CULVERT AT SIXTH STREET. CUT SLOPES WILL NOT EXCEED 5 FT. AND 200 FT. OF FILL SLOPES WILL BE GREATER THAN 3 FT. THE PROJECT WILL REQUIRE 4,000 CUBIC YARDS OF FILL.
