THE PROJECT CONSISTS OF THE CONSTRUCTION OF AN UNGROUTED ROCK SLOPE PROTECTION LEVEE FOR A DISTANCE OF 2,000 FT. ON THE NORTH BANK OF THE MAJAVE RIVER, WEST OF THE CITY OF BARSTOW. SAND DEPOSITS WITHIN THE RIVERBED WILL BE UTILIZED TO INCREASE THE HEIGHT OF THE SLOPE 2-4 FEET.
