THE PURPOSE OF THE PROJECT IS TO PROVIDE FILTERS AND TREAT- ED WATER STORAGE FOR THE EXISTING TREATMENT PLANT. THE FILTERS WILL POLISH THE PLANT EFFLUENT AND PROVIDE A BARRIER AGAINST WATERBORNE DISEASES. THE FILTERS ARE REQUIRED BY FEDERAL AND STATE HEALTH REGULATIONS. BANNER RESERVOIR, PRESENTLY AN OPEN EARTHEN RESERVOIR, MUST BE LINED AND COVERED IN ORDER TO RECEIVE THE FILTERED WATER AND PROVIDE ADEQUATE SYSTEM STORAGE FOR PEAK DEMANDS AND EMERGENCIES.
