Document Description
The proposed project includes the construction of a new bridge for State Route 18 at Big Bear Lake to replace the existing bridge located along the top of the Bear Valley Dam. Construction will result in 0.5 acre of permanent impacts and 0.5 acre of temporary impacts to 1.0 acre of southern rubber boa habitat. Project activities are likely to result in the incidental take of the southern rubber boa, a species designated as threatened under the California Endangered species Act (CESA) (Fish & G. Code 2050 et. seq.) The California Department of Fish and Game (DFG) is issuing the CESA incidental take permit referenced above as a responsible agency under the California Environmental Quality Act.
