CENTRAL TO THE PROJECT IS THE DEVELOPMENT OF FIVE SUFRFACE MINES LOCATED ALONG A 5 MILE ZONE AND POTENTIAL FOR UNDER- GROUND MINING. A CENTRALLY LOCATED ORE PROCESSING FACILITY WAS CONSTRUCTED ALONG WITH OVERBURDEN STORAGE SITES, A CRUSHING PLANT, AND A TAILINGS MANAGEMENT FACILITY. THE PROJECT INCLUDES CONSTRUCTION OF: INTERNAL HAUL ROADS, EQUIP MENT MAINTENANCE AREAS, ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICES, SEWAGE DIS- POSAL FACILITIES, STORM RUNOFF HANDLING SYSTEMS, PERMANENT AND TEMPORARY STREAM DIVERSIONS, FIRE CONTROL SYSTEMS, AND FIRST AID FACILITIES.
