THE PROJECT CONSISTS OF AN UPDATE TO THE CITY'S GENERAL PLAN WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE 1985 HOUSING ELEMENT. THE PROJECT WILL CONSOLIDATE AND UPDATE A NUMBER OF EXISTING OUTDATED GENERAL PLAN GOALS AND POLICIES. NEW DESCRIPTION AS OF 10/01/90 - SUBMITTAL OF EIR --------- AN UPDATED COMPREHENSIVE, LONG-TERM GENERAL PLAN FOR THE PHYSICAL DEVELOPMENT OF THE CITY OF ROCKLIN AND FOR LAND WITHIN THE CITY'S SPHERE OF INFLUENCE WHICH BEARS RELATION TO ITS PLANNING. AN EXCEPTION IS THE CITY'S HOUSING ELEMENT THE DOCUMENT DOES NOT PROPOSE TO CHANGE EXISTING LAND USE DESIGNATIONS, UNLESS NECESSARY TO ACHIEVE CONSISTENCY, NOR DOES IT PROPOSE TO CHANGE EXISTING CIRCULATIN PLANS.
