THE RIVERGATE SPECIFIC PLAN IS A DEVELOPMENT WHICH ENCOMPASSES 167+ ACRES IN THE NORTHEAST PORTION OF THE CITY OF SANTA MARIA. THIS PLAN CALLS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF A SELF-CONTAINED RESIDENTIAL NEIGHBORHOOD AT THE NORTHERN EDGE OF THE CITY. USES ARE PREDOMINANTLY SINGLE-FAMILY, THE PLAN ACCOMMADATES SOME MEDIUM AND HIGH DENSITY RESIDENTIAL USES, NEIGHBORHOOD-SERVING COMMERCIAL USES, AND A DEDICATED RECREATIONAL/OPEN SPACE COMPONENT.
