Document Description
Addendum to the Certified EIR for the proposed Conditional Use Permit No. 86-312-(5). The Sunshine Canyon Landfill is located within the County Unincorporated and City of Los Angeles jurisdictions. The landfill is currently in operation on the County portion of the property. The proposed project will adjust the daily solid waste intake from the current level of 6,600 tons per day to 12,100 tons per day; weekly intake is proposed to increase from the current level of 36,000 tons per week to 66,000 tons per week. The working face area of the landfill is proposed to change from two (2) to three (3) acres to a total of approximately 10 acres. Modifications to Conditional Use Permit No. 86-312-(5) update conditions associated with the permit for consistency with conditions approved by the City of Los Angeles.
