PROPOSED SIX-YEAR MAINTENANCE DREDGING PROGRAM IN OCEANSIDE HARBOR. THE PROJECT INVOLVES THE BIENNIAL REMOVAL OF A MAXIMUM OF 500,000 CUBIC YARDS OF LITTORAL DRIFT MATERIAL FROM THE ENTRANCE AND NAVIGATION CHANNELS OF THE OCEANSIDE AND CAMP PENDLETON HARBOR VICINITY. DREDGED MATERIAL WOULD BE DEPOSITED AT A DOWNCOAST BEACH SOUTH OF THE OCEANSIDE PUBLIC PIER, WHICH IS ERODED BY LITTORAL TRANSPORT AND UNREPLENISHED DUE TO HARBOR DISRUPTION OF NATURAL LITTORAL DRIFT FROM UPCURRENT SOURCES.
