Document Description
The project would amend the current Specific Plan, adopted by the County and certified by the Coastal Commission in 1995, to address modifications to the Santa Barbara Shores/County Park portion of the Specific Plan area as per the Santa Barbara Shores County Park Master Plan approved by the County Parks Commission in 2001, revise the development envelope on the Monarch Point Reserve portion of the Specific Plan area, revise and update development standards, and incorporate many of the suggested modifications made by the California Coastal Commission in response to proposed Plan amendments in 1997. In addition, the project would involve analysis of the option of transferring permitted residential development to the developable portions of the Santa Barbara Shores/County Park property and transferring passive recreational development to the Monarch Point Reserve property as per Goleta Community Plan. The project would include processing of the amendments through adoption by the County Board of Supervisors and subsequent certification by the California Coastal Commission.
