The California Department of Fish and Game is preparing a management plan for the Lake Earl Wildlife Area. The plan will provide long-term direction for managing the LEWA in order to optimize the management of a wide variety of native plants and animal species with emphasis on wetlands and wetland-dependent wildlife. Long-term management of the LEWA will seek the best balance between local agricultural practices, private property concerns and habitat management for fish and wildlife.
