Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (Department) has submitted a grant application to construct a mobility impaired fishing pier adjacent to the existing mobility impaired access in Parking Lot 14. The proposed project will construct a new mobility impaired accessible fishing pier and a paved path leading to the fishing pier to provide safe and fair access to fishing opportunities for the mobility Impaired recreationist A portion of the pond will be recontoured to remove accumulated sediment and increase the footprint of fishable habitat around the fishing pier, WCB funds will be used to cover the costs associated with constructing the fishing pier, paved path and recontouring the fishing pond. As of August 2018, the mobility impaired parking lot has been resurfaced and repainted, the dilapidated wheel chair accessible wildlife viewing platform has been replaced and the mobility impaired "Wildlife Discovery" nature trail has been resurfaced.
