Document Description
On June 17, 2003, the Downtown Improvement Program Update EIR was certified. This project contained four primary components: 1) Adoption of amendments to the General Plan; 2) Adoption of amendments to the Zoning Code; 3) Adoption of amendments to the Downtown Specific Plan; 4) Adoption of amendments to the Sunnyvale Downtown Redevelopment Plan. At the time of EIR certification Council directed staff to prepare the appropriate amendments to the DSP and Zoning. The Specific Plan contains goals and policies, development standards, and infrastruction improvements for the project area. The Zoning amendments reflect these updated development standards and permitted land uses. These amendments are consistent with the project described in the Downtown Improvement Program Updated EIR and were approved by Council on October 14, 2003.
