Document Description
The City of Lathrop has negotiated an amended development agreement AEW/Catlin Properties (Crossroads CREA) that includes a number of related actions regarding infrastructure. The most significant infrastructure project is the Phase 1 Remediation Project for Water Recycling Plant No. 1. The remediation project would replace the existing evaporation/percolation pond system that is not currently functioning to design capacity. Under the project proposal, the existing ponds would be converted into 68.9 acre-feet of lined storage ponds. In addition, a new 52.0 acre-feet lined storage pond would also be constructed. The secondary (and eventually tertiary) treated effluent would be stored in these ponds and then used for agricultural irrigation of a fodder crop (such as alfalfa) on an adjacent 43.8 acres of vacant industrial land owned by AEW/Crossroads.
