CALIF DEPARTMENT OF WATER RESOURCES IS PROPOSING A FOUR STAGE INTERIM STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURE THAT WILL PRO- TECT THE CALIFORNIA AQUEDUCT FROM INTERVALS OF APPROX 50 YEARS. THE FINAL PROJECT WILL PROTECT THE AQUEDUCT FROM STORMS WITH RECURRENCE INTERVALS OF APPROXIMATELY 100 YEARS.
