Present Land Use
The majority of the project site is vacant, zoned S-80 (Open Space Use); and designated "Impact Sensitive" (permitting a residential density of one dwelling unit per 4, 8, and 20 acres (I DU/4,8, and 20 ac.). A single-family residential unit is located on APN 585-112-07 (3.76-acres). That parcel is zoned RR1 and designated as "1 Residential".
Shoreline Fishing program to allow public recreation along 2.5 miles of the southwest shoreline of Sweetwater Reservoir. This project has been reduced from that analyzed in the 1987 Final EIR and consists of the following phased elements: Phase 1A -Use of existing residence for office/concession building; widen existing onsite maintenance road; improve existing trails; construct a 200-space parking lot; and install water lines, irrigation, landscaping, and portable restrooms. Phase 1B- installation of sewer and concession building; improvements to the parking lot and road; annexation to Spring Valley Sanitation District.
