Document Description
The Urban Runoff Diversion System Phase I (URDS I) Maintenance is a habitat improvement action that will restore the freshwater marsh habitat within the URDS I detention ponds and forebays, protect the Sweetwater Reservoir from first flush storm flows, urban runoff, and associated pollutants, and ultimately improve the water quality of the captured runoff. The URDS I detention ponds and forebays have been negatively affected by sedimentation, vegetation excess, and detritus accumulation. The restoration goals of this Maintenance action will be accomplish by conducting sediment removal from detention ponds and forebays, and reestablishment of freshwater marsh within the same areas.
