Additionally, a Class I path along the west side of Railroad Avenue from State Route 4 (SR-4) to the Delta De Anza Regional Trail will be installed. The construction of this path will include the installation of a 10-foot-wide concrete Class I trail that will have a minimum 2-foot-wide graded shoulders. The project will also include the installation of trail lighting, crosswalk treatments, modified driveways, a bus shelter, a security wall, wayfinding, and surface information signage, as well as landscaping and irrigation improvements. Along SR-4 East bound on-ramp, from the BART parking facility to Railroad Avenue, a Class I path would be installed along the north side of the adjacent properties within Caltrans Right of Way. The work proposed at this location is similar in nature to that proposed along Railroad Avenue from SR-4 to the Delta De Anza Regional Trail. The installation of new parking options and a Class I path along the south side of California Avenue from Railroad Avenue to Harbor Street is also being proposed.
