This bridge was identified in the Structure Replacement and Improvement Needs (STRAIN) Report as a seismically vulnerable bridge. This project will improve the structural integrity of the bridge so it can withstand a seismic event while also improving a non-standard curve at the southern approach to the bridge. The project would replace Spans 1 through 4 of the northbound Eel River Bridge with a castin-place (CIP) prestressed box girder bridge (Appendix A). The remaining Spans 5 through 8 would be seismically retrofitted. Additional work would include constructing a retaining wall to realign the northbound bridge approach.",https://ceqanet.opr.ca.gov/2022100650/2,Eel River Bridge Seismic Retrofit,Zachary Larson,California Department of Transportation,Environmental Scientist,zachary.larson@dot.ca.gov,1656 Union Street,,Eureka,CA,95501,7073821849,40°30'36.8"N 124°7'19.2"W,Rio Dell,Humboldt,,None,95562,47.22,State of California,United States Highway 101,Eel River,None,Yes,10/28/2022,11/30/2022,Transportation,,"Aesthetics, Biological Resources, Greenhouse Gas Emissions, Hydrology/Water Quality, Wetland/Riparian",,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
