In addition to raising the grade of the road by 1 foot, the project will also install 18” Reinforced Concrete Pipe (RCP) crossroad culverts with flared end sections at 5 locations within the project limits. The roadside ditch will be regraded with erosion control materials and the road will be re-striped with enhanced wet night visibility thermoplastic. This project will require one Temporary Construction Easement (TCE). This TCE will be used to conform the driveways and regrade the ditches at the Butte County Fire Station 41. Access to the fire station will be maintained at all times. No delays in service by the fire station during construction are anticipated. Additionally, access to other driveways and cross streets will be maintained during construction. Overhead utility poles exist on both sides of SR 99 through the project area. Utility conflicts will be avoided, so no utility relocations or disruptions are anticipated.
