The purpose of the fill station is to provide a source of recycled water for dust control and other construction activities at local construction sites, avoiding the use of potable water. The site selected for the two fill stations is located directly outside of the fence of the existing VWRP along The Old Road. The site is approximately 0.2 acre, with a concrete surface and devoid of vegetation. A row of mature landscape trees along the Old Road provides visual screening of the fill station site. Recycled water will be supplied to the two fill stations from SCVWA’s existing 24-inch steel recycled water main that runs through the fill station site. A new 6-inch pipeline of approximately 60-linear feet will be installed below ground to connect to the existing recycled water main and feed both fill stations. Each fill station will be located on a slightly elevated concrete pad and will be prefabricated and preprogrammed for automated metering. The fill stations will each have a metering station with built-in flow meter and overhead fill structure. Operation of the fill stations will involve water trucks entering the site from The Old Road and stopping beneath one of the overhead fill structures. The trucks will exit the site through a second driveway out to The Old Road to avoid trucks having to back up. The project will not require removal of vegetation and no change to the concrete surface area is anticipated. Easements will be obtained as required. None of the exemptions listed in Section 15300.2 of the CEQA Guidelines would apply to the action. ",,,,,,,,,,,,
