The Project includes activities related to the reconstruction and refinement to correct the design of the previously installed plug-and-pond restoration method used during the Bean Creek Meadow Restoration Project located within Bean Creek Preserve. Activities include the lowering of the previously-placed plugs and the installation of engineered streambed material rock riffles in their place to resist erosion and incision to the raised channel alignment. Material excavated from the lowering of the plugs will be used to partially fill Ponds 3 through 7 and a portion of Pond 2, which are expected to fill over time and create additional emergent wetland habitat. The Project will also include the construction of a berm at the eastern margin on Pond 2 to hydrologically isolate a portion of the Pond 2 from where Bean Creek flows through the Pond. Additionally, the Project will include the stabilizations of tributaries and repairs to existing headcuts at four locations within the site, including two (2) eastern tributaries to Pond 1; one (1) western margin to Pond 6; and one (1) western tributary location that will include the installation of culverts and an energy dissipater and the expansion and widening of the western tributary Pond.",https://ceqanet.opr.ca.gov/2021090571,Bean Creek Meadow Restoration Project (Streambed Alteration Agreement No. 1600 2020-0163-R4). ,Heather Rodriguez,CA Department of Fish and Wildlife,N/A,Heather.Rodriguez@wildlife.ca.gov,1234 E.
