The project is limited to routine maintenance activities to upkeep safe and functional conditions for the SoCal Gas pipelines numbers #407 and #3003 and their access roads to meet safety regulations set by the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) and the Department of Transportation (DOT). Activities include scheduled inspections and maintenance, as well as unscheduled activities due to the dynamic hydrology of the creek causing erosion and potential for pipeline exposure or road degradation after storm events. Activities include, pipeline inspection, inspection of markers and signage, vegetation maintenance, road access maintenance, pipeline safety enhancement inspections, pipeline integrity digs and repairs, and road repairs. The approved amendment will replace the agreed upon 1.37 acres of restoration at the Cold Creek property with 5.48 acres of preservation at a CDFW-approved mitigation bank.
