The purpose for installing the original Rexland Acres Sewer System and for implementing the proposed expanded sewer system is that the density of residential development within the project area has resulted in degradation of water quality due to use of subsurface septic tank and leach lines to manage wastewater generated from individual homes, and collectively, within the project area. Connecting to the area WWTP will remove this area source of groundwater contamination and minimize ongoing future contamination. The proposed project is the construction of additional sewer lines within the rural community of Rexland Acres for collection and delivery of wastewater to the Kern Sanitation Authority Wastewater Treatment Plant for treatment and discharge which also includes the following components: construction of sewer mains, laterals, manholes, sewer clean outs, connections, modification to lift stations, and closure/removal of septic tanks..",https://ceqanet.opr.ca.gov/2020070034/3,Rexland Acres - Sewer Expansion Project,Alexa Kolosky,Kern County Public Works Department,N/A,akolosky@kerncounty.com,"2700 M Street, Suite 400",,Bakersfield,CA,93301,6618625002,35°18'20.9"N 118°59'26.6"W,,Kern,,SE intersection of South Union Avenue and East Pacheco Road,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Kern County Board of Supervisors,Yes,10/6/2020,No,No,Yes,,Yes,Yes,No,No,"2700 M Street, Suite 400, Bakersfield, CA 93301"
