The optimized refrigeration system will replace three existing Freon refrigeration systems with a new ammonia refrigeration system to reduce electricity consumption, refrigeration leakage, greenhouse gas emissions, and operation costs at the Recipient's food processing facility on Oroville. Also, this project will apply ceramic insulation on all existing process rotary cookers to reduce heat loss and natural gas consumption at the Recipient's food processing facilities in Woodland, Oroville, and Lodi.",https://ceqanet.opr.ca.gov/2020060335/2,Pacific Coast Producers Refrigeration Optimization & Process Equipment Insulation,Cyrus Ghandi,California Energy Commission,N/A,,"1516 Ninth Street, MS-48",,Sacramento,CA,95814,9163271506,,"Lodi, Oroville, Woodland","Butte, San Joaquin, Yolo",,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Categorical Exemption,"Cal. This project will involve minor alteration of existing facilities and mechanical equipment at three existing food processing facilities and will result in no expansion of the existing use. The advanced refrigeration system at the Oroville facility consists of compressors, condensers, evaporators, chillers, storage tanks, heat exchangers, piping and fittings, insulation, and associated control systems. Site preparation may include a new concrete pad. The materials used to construct the system are chemically inert, not hazardous to human health, and do not have a significant effect on the environment. The systems purchased have safety certifications in compliance with relevant codes and standards. In addition, all required permits for installation and operation of the system will be obtained prior to system installation and demonstration. Also, this project will install ceramic Authority cited: Sections 21083 and 21110, Public Resources Code. Reference: Sections 21108, 21152, and 21152.1, Public Resources Code. The demonstration will not have a significant impact on local air quality, noise, or traffic. For these reasons, the project will not have a significant effect on the environment and falls under the categorical exemption listed in 14 CCR 15301. See NOE for full details.",,,,,,,,,,,,
