The purpose of the project is to implement a project to achieve the Squaw Creek TMDL, and enhance aquatic and terrestrial habitat. The project methodologies utilize natural and bio-stabilization techniques consisting of fill sourced from the local area, willows, and plugs harvested from the adjacent meadow. The project will enhance aquatic and terrestrial habitat, migration corridors, groundwater surface water interaction, and capture carbon and reduce greenhouse gasses, and protect meadow systems. The project mitigates past construction of artificial drainage's, by dispersing water across the meadow and relict system. The project reduces sediment to Squaw Creek by allowing it to drop out in the meadows, and reduces the concentration of flow dispersing the point source contribution. Reducing bed-load transport and fine sediment carried in suspension to Squaw Creek contributes to achieving the water quality objective of the Squaw Creek and Truckee River TMDL. Reducing sediment loads improves water quality and thus spawning and rearing habitat for fish. Restoration improves hydrologic connectivity and may extend the duration of flows into Squaw Creek benefiting fisheries habitat.",https://ceqanet.opr.ca.gov/2019120562/2,Squaw Creek North Meadow Restoration Project,Stacy Wydra,County of Placer,N/A,,"3091 County Center Drive, Suite 190",,Auburn,CA,95603,5305816288,,Truckee,Nevada,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Categorical Exemption,15333,"Project does not exceed 5 acres in size, there are no significant adverse impacts on endangered, rare or threatened species or their habitat pursuant to Section 15065, there are no hazardous materials at or around the project site that may be disturbed or removed, and the project will not result in impacts that are significant when viewed in connection with the effects of past project, the effects of other current projects, and the effects of probable future projects in that the project is intended to maintain, restore, enhance and protect habitat for fish, plants and wildlife by restoring Squaw Creek along the north side of the Resort at Squaw Creek golf course.",,,,,,,,,,,,
