Installation of the anode will require drilling an approximately 10-inch diameter hole for installation of the anode. Once installed, approximately 40 linear feet of trenching will be required for installation of wiring from the anode to an adjacent electric distribution pole and the three pipelines. An approximately 16 square foot excavation (4-foot by 4-foot) will be required over each pipeline to attach wiring to the pipes. Drilling for the anode and excavations for attaching cathodic protection are primarily proposed within upland locations (with the exception of the excavation over Pipeline 177A). A 300-foot by 25-foot area in a pasture south of the anode installation site is required for staging equipment and materials. Note: See NOE for full details.
