The SJFD vegetation control program is critical in meeting aqueduct visibility, accessibility, and drainage requirements, as well as to protect the structural integrity of aqueduct embankments and structures. To control vegetation herbicides are sprayed along aqueduct roads, fence-lines, bar/v-ditches. Plant debris is then removed/burned at designated burn sites located along the aqueduct 5:1 slopes, paved/graveled areas on access roads, within clear staging areas near pumping plant facilities and spoil sites. The vegetation control program extends, on both sides of the aqueduct, from MP 172.58 to MP 293.45 and from MP 0.00 to MP 14.84 on the Coastal Branch. Spraying may also occur in other areas within and around pumping plants and other structures located within the DWR right-of-way.",https://ceqanet.opr.ca.gov/2018128231,2019 Vegetation Control Program,Juan Arellano,California Department of Water Resources,N/A,,San Joaquin Field Division,4201 Sabadan Street,Bakersfield,CA,93313,6618585664,,"Bakersfield, Kettleman","Kern, Kings, San Luis Obispo",,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Categorical Exemption,15301(b),This project consists of maintenance activities that support the function of the California Aqueduct and water delivery within the State Water Project.,,,,,,,,,,,,
