The work also includes; the installation of ramps that meet ADA requirements, pedestrian push button signals, installation of: storm drain inlets, curbs and gutters, bike lanes, landscaping buffer and safety fencing would occur along the south side of Folsom Blvd, restriping of lane lines, relocation of 15 utility poles. In order to install the pedestrian improvements, existing pavement and soil will be graded down no deeper than 18 inches to make room for base material and concrete overlay. Sidewalk construction will include the installation of curbs and gutters, as well as drainage inlets to connect new gutters to the existing storm water infrastructure. Installation of storm drain inlets could require removal of soil up to ten ft in depth. Some tree removal will be necessary to implement the proposed project.
