The soil around the monument in has eroded away from the base. This has caused the monument to tilt. With continuing erosion the monument could fall over. The proposal is to move the monument approximately 30' to the southeast at a heading of 160 degrees. This will place the monument away from all drainages and edges of the ridge. A hole 44" x 72" will be dug in the new location. A wooden form will be placed around the hold. the footing around the edge will be 2' in depth while the center of the hole wil be only 1' in depth. The monument will be strapped and lifted from its existing location. Six 1/2" holes will be drilled into the base of the existing monument. Rebar will be placed in the holes to give the concrete something to adhere to when the monument is placed in the new location. Once the monument is in its new location concrete will be poured around the base.,https://ceqanet.opr.ca.gov/2018088420,Move De Anza Monument (ABDSP 198),Terry Gerson,California Department of Parks and Recreation,N/A,terry.gerson@parks.ca.gov,1416 Ninth Street,P.O.
