Vegetation will be removed using hand tools or a weed whacker. Rip rap will be placed for 120 feet near the boat launch, 200 feet of the bank west of the parking lot, and 250 feet around both tips of FP. All work will be conducted above the ordinary high water mark. if needed, a water truck will be used to wet the surface of the work area. DFD staff will repair v-ditches at the north and south side of FP. Vegetation will be removed with hand pruners in the v-ditches prior to grading. The v-ditch east of the parking lot will have 20-foot culvert replaced at the dirt ramp. Material will be removed from the v-ditch with a eoad grader and re-graded onto the road shoulder and embankment. Spoils will be removed with a backhoe and dump truck and hauled to the spoil site. DFD staff will re-grade the road on both sides of FP. A water truck will be used to control dust as it is being prepared for road base. A road grader will be used to cut the road to grade and spread aggregate base. A smooth drum roller will be utilized for compaction of road base. Staging will occur on existing roads and turnouts.
