The new bridge will be a single-span, precast, prestressed concrete slab supported on seat abutments founded on spread footings. Approx 500 lf of new roadway will be constructed. The proposed alignment of the bridge would shift Dogtown Rd approx 15 ft to the west at the creek crossing. The sections of Dogtown Rd adjacent to the bridge will be improved to 10-ft lanes with 2-ft shoulders. Approx 400 ft of roadway north and south of the bridge will be improved. A retaining wall, approx 200 ft in length, will be constructed along the west edge of the south approach. The project will replace the existing functionally obsolete Dogtown Road Bridge over San Domingo Creek with a new structure approx 73.5 ft long and 26 ft wide that will accommodate two 10-ft travel lanes with 2-ft shoulders and barrier rails. The new bridge will be a two-span, cast-in-place reinforced concrete slab supported on a reinforced concrete pier wall and end diaphragm abutments on spread footings. Sections of Dogtown Rd adjacent to the bridge will need to be realigned to allow the bridge to be built in its final location. Approx 500 lf of new roadway will be constructed. The new north approach of Dogtown Rd will be 195.5 ft in length and the new south approach will be 231 ft in length. Both new roadways will have two 10-ft lanes with 2-ft shoulders.
