The Project will restore and enhance the stream banks and riparian area with native vegetation. In order to protect the creek adjacent to the work area, a temporary water diversion system may be implemented during construction. This system may include a sheet pile wall at the upstream of the diversion and a gravel cofferdam downstream to divert a maximum of 0.122 acres of the channel. The Project will minimize the amount of creek flow diverted as much as possible. The RSP within the existing channel will be extended by 50 feet to repair the scoured areas on the northwest side of the Miller Creek Bridge. A quarter ton of RSP will be placed, and each of the rocks will be 24-inches in diameter. The creek habitat will be enhanced and restored through the addition of root wad structures and willow layering. A large area of the exposed creek bank is covered in non-native vegetation that will be removed and replaced with willows, native trees, native shrubs, and a native seed mix.
