The existing stream crossing is on a class II watercourse. The crossing either lacks a drainage structure or the structure is completely buried. The new culvert shall be installed to grade, aligned with the natural stream channel, and shall be long enough that it extends lengthwise completely beyond the toe of fill. Upgrading the crossing will require the excavation and temporary displacement of approximately 26 cubic yards of fill and 140 square feet of overall disturbance (35-feet long, 5-feet deep, 4-feet wide). The upgrading of this crossing may require the loss of a 16-inch DBH Douglas-Fir and other grasses, forbs, and ferns. Additionally, the stream crossing may be wet at all times of year which would require the installation of a temporary diversion structure. If needed, clean water above the work site will be isolated from the construction zone and transported around the work area so it can be discharged to the stream channel with minimal effects on the surface flow rates and water quality. Water generated within the construction area will be collected and transported off-site and discharged in a safe location where it can settle out sediment and not deliver contaminates to the watercourse. Point of diversion 1 consists of two plastic bins placed in the channel of a class II watercourse. Surface water is diverted by gravity via a screened 1-inch polyline plumbed to a 2,500-gallon hard plastic water tank .. The water tank is located within the riparian zone of the class II watercourse and shall be removed and relocated outside the riparian buffer of 100-feet from the watercourse. The lower diversion structure will be removed from the stream and the upper bin shall be replaced with a concrete cistern that adheres to all measures of this Agreement. Point of diversion 2 consists of one plastic 5-gallon bucket placed in the channel of a class II spring, which feeds a class II watercourse. Surface water is diverted by gravity via a screened 1-inch polyline to two 2.500-gallon hard plastic water tanks. This structure will be replaced or adapted to meet all measures of this Agreement.",https://ceqanet.opr.ca.gov/2016112028/62,Diaz Stream Crossings and Remediation Project Lake or Streambed Alteration Agreement No. EPIMS-MEN-29084-R1C,Cheri Sanville,Department of Fish and Wildlife Northern Region,N/A,,619 Second Street,,Eureka,CA,95501,7074415901,,,Humboldt,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,CDFW,No,4/29/2019,No,No,Yes,,Yes,No,No,No,"County of Mendocino 860 N.
